The Amazing Wild Salmon I Discovered in Alaska...No One Else Serves It!

FishinAs you can see by the photos throughout this new site, I was on the Stikine River in Southeast Alaska with the fishermen observing the catch of our Wild King Salmon. There is no place on earth quite like the Stikine River. It's a long river which requires the fish to have lots of oil in order to make the long trek up stream to spawn. Lots of oil = lots of flavor. The habitat is pristine and the King Salmon that we buy there are...Wild. Natural. Sustainable.

When you see first hand, like I did, the care that is taken with these big, bright and beautiful fish, you come away with an appreciation that is rare in today's world.
Nothing contrived, just Salmon living in a pollution free environment and allowed to develop with tasty oil and healthy omega 3s, making them one of the best, if not the best, food we can eat.

And this year, as an added treat, I purchased Ivory Kings, the Chardonnay of King Salmon. Here's our special sheet for the coming month put together by Executive Chef Bill Ranniger. Come in and try any Salmon dish and I'll add your choice of any starter salad or any cup of Chowder compliments of Duke's Chowder House.

  • Pan Seared King Salmon

  • Stuffed King Salmon

  • Cedar Plank King Salmon

  • Blackened King Salmon Caesar

  • Blackened King Salmon Cobb

Remember, you can never spend enough time at Duke's Chowder House
