In the three-minute video above, Duke Moscrip, owner of Duke’s Chowder Houses, describes how his new book, As Wild As It Gets: Duke’s Sustainable Seafood Recipes, tells stories of his promotional efforts weaving their way through Seattle history.
Price of the book is $49.95, or, for members of the Duke’s e-mail VIP Club, $39.95. It is available at all six Duke’s locations. A copy will be available for perusal at our “Birthplace of Seattle” Log House Museum.
The 384-page hardbound book is authored by Duke Moscrip, a former Alki resident who grew up in the Admiral area, and his executive chef, “Wild” Bill Ranniger. Photographs are by Ingrid Pape-Sheldon.
A portion of book proceeds will go to Long Live the Kings, an organization dedicated to restoring salmon in the Northwest. For more info, click here.
